There is a floral and citrus taste at first, followed by a strawnberry fragrance and then the bitter element lands and lingers. While the bitters is sweet it´s not sticky so you can drink it neat, chilled if you want. I tried it in a Boulevardier – blended whiskey and red vermouth and Walcher venticinque. You use less bitters than if you did the same drink with Campari or Mondino. That´s because it´s more on the bitter side. I´d be inclined to use an ordinary vermouth and a blended whiskey so the Ventiqinque can stand out.
